The only place I came across that was harder with dark damage was the undead crypt, and only those female hexers. 40/40 just isn't worth it until you have everything else you could want as you'll get better value out of say increasing you Vig for HP, your Vit for heavier gear, Attunement for more Spell Slots (which Hexes desperately.
